Electronic dictionary provides a powerful resource for students working on their own and for you in the classroom. In the classroom you can have the dictionary available all the times to check the meaning of the words and if you are fortunate enough to have a PC linked to a data projector or interactive whiteboard you can integrate the dictionary into your day to day teaching seamlessly and also carry out dictionary use training sessions more effectively.

Beside dictionaries that can be used at all level, thesauruses are more suited to the intermediate and advanced levels. For higher level, they can be used to enrich and extend your learners’ vocabulary. Thesauruses can be used for writing projects. It can encourage learners to be more adventurous in their creative writing at the same time as helping them to analyze their output more critically.

Translation software is still in its infancy and at the time of writing remains unreliable. Encyclopedias can be used for research and project work. The wealth of information contained o these sites opens up the world to our learners in a way thet more traditional collections of classroom objects simply cant.

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening
A Poem by Robert Frost

Whose woods these are I think I know.His house is in the village, though;He will not see me stopping hereTo watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queerTo stop without a farmhouse nearBetween the woods and frozen lakeThe darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shakeTo ask if there is some mistake.The only other sound's the sweepOf easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep,But I have promises to keep,And miles to go before I sleep,And miles to go before I sleep.

Summary:
This poem describes a winter evening in a rural environment. And a desire of a person who wants to see snow falls in the wood. There is nothing can stop him or her for going to the woods even the wood is so dark and something is not well

SUMMARY
CHAPTER 3 USING WEBSITE

Using website is one of the easiest and least stressful ways of getting started with technology in the classroom. Teachers can use web pages in the classroom in variety ways:
o As printed pages with no computer
o With one computer with an internet connection
o In a computer lab with a set of networked and connected computers
It is important for both teachers and learners see the use of the internet as an intrinsic part of learning process rather than an occasional activity which has nothing to do with their regular study programme. Teacher need to talk to your learners a bout why internet content maybe useful to them and discuss their attitude to technology in general.
Finding useful website is very important and to make searches targeted and efficient we can use search engines, subject guides and real language search. After finding useful website then teachers need to evaluate ho useful and appropriate they are for the classroom. Teachers need to see the accuracy, currency, content and function. The next steps are making a plan for your lessons. First teachers need to visit the websites you intend to use and make sure you know your way around them properly. And make a note of the particular ages you want your learners to work on
Sometimes there are learners with no ability in using internet, so teachers need choose the right website, websites with simple, non linguistic data, visuals, ELT websites where the content has been written, edited, and prepared with this audience in mind.
As teacher we need to prepare well and do approach to the way you use websites in the classroom should give you the confidence to try out different ways of introducing your learners to internet content.

Love Poem
Title: The Passionate Shepherd to His Love
Author: Christopher Marlowe

This poem tells about unidentified man who loves unidentified woman. The man is a shepherd. The shepherd promises her happiness if she wants to live with him. The shepherd tries to describe about a beautiful life with him in the countryside, and about what she will get from his flocks, like a gown made of the finest wool and a belt of straw and ivy-buds, without mentioning the dangers that could happen in the field like wolves, etc. I think this poem is very romantic but not real because the man in this poem seems will gives anything what the woman wants. This poem is like with my sister’s story. One day, my sister met a man. At the first time, the man always made my sister happy by giving anything, but time by time, the man change. When my sister needed some help from him he always avoided her.

CHRISTOPER MARLOWE’S POEM (1599) and the SUMMARY

THE PASSIONATE SHEPHERD TO HIS LOVE

Come live with me, and be my love;
And we will all the pleasures prove
That hills and valleys, dales and fields,
Woods, or steepy mountain yields.

And we will sit upon the rocks,
Seeing the shepherds feed their flocks
By shallow rivers, to whose falls
Melodious birds sing madrigals.

And I will make thee beds of roses
And a thousand fragrant posies;
A cap of flowers, and a kirtle
Embroidered all with leaves of myrtle;

A gown made of the finest wool
Which from our pretty lambs we pull;
Fair-lined slippers for the cold,
With buckles of the purest gold;

A belt of straw and ivy-buds,
With coral clasps and amber-studs:
And if these pleasures may thee move,
Come live with me, and be my love.

The shepherd-swains shall dance and sing
For thy delight each May-morning:
If these delights thy mind may move,
Then live with me and be my love.

This poem tells about a shepherd that loves a woman. The shepherd asks the woman to live with him.

ROBERT BURNS’ POEMS and the SUMMARY

A Red, Red Rose

O my Luve's like a red, red rose
That's newly sprung in June;
O my Luve's like the melodie
That's sweetly played in tune.

As fair art thou, my bonnie lass,
So deep in luve am I;
And I will luve thee still, my dear,
Till a' the seas gang dry:

Till a' the seas gang dry, my dear,
And the rocks melt wi' the sun;
I will luve thee still, my dear,
While the sands o' life shall run.

And fare thee weel, my only Luve,
And fare thee weel awhile!
And I will come again, my Luve,
Tho' it ware ten thousand mile.

FOUNDTION OF LITERATURE
BRITISH LITERATURE

British literature is literature from the United Kingdom, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands. This literature is written in the English language, but there are also separate literatures in Latin, Welsh, Scottish Gaelic, Scots, Cornish, Manx, Jèrriais, Guernésiais and other languages. Northern Ireland is the only part of Ireland still part of the United Kingdom and the literature is also in English, Ulster Scots and Irish. Irish writers have also played an important part in the development of English-language literature.
Old English or Anglo Saxon Era
English Literature, literature produced in England, from the introduction of Old English by the Anglo-Saxons in the 5th century to the present. This period extends from about 450 to 1066, the year of the Norman-French conquest of England. The earliest known English poem is a hymn on the creation;
Bede attributes this to Cædmon (fl. 658–680), who was, according to legend, an illiterate herdsman who produced extemporaneous poetry at a monastery at Whitby. This is generally taken as marking the beginning of Anglo-Saxon poetry. Much of the poetry of the period is difficult to date, or even to arrange chronologically; for example, estimates for the date of the great epic Beowulf.Beowulf is both the first English literary masterpiece and one of the earliest European epics written in the vernacular, or native language, instead of literary Latin. It was owned by Sir Robert cotton. Sir Robert bound Beowulf with four other MSS in a combined codex known as Cotton MS.Vitellius A.xv between the 8th century and the late 10th century. Beowulf, the rousing Old English poem of man and monster.
The haunted mere is one of the poems of Beowulf lines 1308-1382, it was translated by Allan Sullivan and Timothy Murphy, now in the Longmans Anthology of British Literature. This excerpt was published on this site in 1999 by permission of the authors
